Appointed as an external advisor by Suzhou Gusu department of safety and security

IMG_096720/07/2016 Dr. Inhi Kim was appointed to be a distinguished expert by Suzhou Gusu public security bureau traffic force. The ceremony was held on 20th July at the Gusu public security conference room. Our Suzhou research team will help the Gusu public security team solve traffic related problems in Suzhou by providing innovative technology and ideas. Read more

IMG_218315/07/2016 Our transport group invites Prof. Seonha Lee from Kongju National University and Yuanqiu Bao, a director of transport department at CCDI. Prof. Lee delivered a presentation with practical projects his research team has conducted. Ms. Bao also introduced various projects that CCDI has worked in China context. 2016 1st SEU-Monash Workshop

DSC0011618/07/2016 Our Suzhou transport joint program has been successfully conducted for four years now and for both SEU and Monash we feel that it’s a good time and opportunity for us to sit together and enhance the program to a higher new level. So, we have organized a workshop in our Suzhou Joint School. We have invited the leaders/lecturers from two sides and also the industrial partners for our internship program to participate and present. Read more

ISTS&IWTDCS 2016 Conference in Jeju, Korea

IMG_0686The the International Symposia of Transport Simulation (ISTS) and the International Workshop on Traffic Data Collection and its Standardisation (IWTDCS) 2016 was held at Jeju National University in Korea from 7th to 8th of July.

Dr. Inhi Kim and Prof. Zhiyuan Liu from South East university chaired sessions Data collection and Control 1 and 2 respectively. Dr. Kun An, Xinyuan Chen and Wentao Jing delivered the presentations. Read more

Suzhou Flooded on 2nd July 2016

Suzhou was hit by flood on 2nd July 2016. It was not extremely heavy rail but still many areas in Suzhou were affected by rain. Understanding how the flood affect traffic on the Suzhou network is very important to find the best possible routes to detour traffic. In addition, public transit routes can be dynamically changed to accommodate the needs.

First Suzhou Based PhD, Xinyuan’s confirmation

A big congratulation for Xinyuan’s PhD confirmation!

Xinyuan’s PhD’s confirmation seminar was held in the Suzhou campus on 4th July 2016. Prof. Graham Currie as a chair and Prof. Hangqian Wu/Dr. Kun An as panel members played an important role in helping the Xinyuan’s phd journey. I also express thanks to our Masters’ students who are interested in doing research with our group.
